Abstract
As part of her doctoral dissertation in 2009, Dr. Alexandra Jones conducted archaeological studies in the Gibson Grove community of Cabin John and also interviewed six residents of the community: Sadie Harris Higgley, Ernest Harris, Vera Johnson, Ada Clark, Judi Bankhead, and Pastor Edgar S. Bankhead. Interviewees discuss their experiences growing up in Gibson Grove, memories of places and people, and daily life. These interviews were transcribed by Dr. Jones and donated to Montgomery History as part of the Oral History collection.
