Abstract
Birth Register for "Registration District 212" which apparently describes a region that includes Poolesville, Darnestown, Dawsonville, and Seneca. The ledger includes entries for names of infants born (parents' names are only included if the infant died and was not named), attending physician or midwife, and date of birth. Other dates for clerical bookkeeping were not well documented. In addition to stillbirths, abortions are occasionally noted. Both Black and white births are included, but are not differentiated. Entries appear in rough chronological order.
